The Red Sox picked up a 1/2 game on the “Empire of Evil” last night when the Chicago White Sox beat the Yankees by a score of 2-0. Phil Humber took a no-hitter into the 7th when Alex Rodriguez grounded a one out single through the infield.
Humber,who was origionally drafted by New York, entered the game with a career record of 3-3 as the White Sox won for only the second time in 12 games.
Sergio Santos got the final four outs for his first save and Chicago’s second save in eight chances this season.
A. J. Burnett pitched well in the loss dropping his record to 3-1 on the season.
